After its debut at the 6th China International Import Expo, the Lin-gang Exhibition Area continues the theme of "Link the world with openness, Shape the future with cooperation," focusing on new quality productivity and joining nearly 70 foreign-funded enterprises from nearly 20 countries and regions including the United States, Britain, Japan, and Germany to participate in the CIIE.
At this year's CIIE, the "circle of friends" in the Lin-gang area continues to expand, attracting about 30 foreign companies to participate for the first time by partnering with Founders Global Venture, Swiss-Chinese Economic and Cultural Association, Mizuho Financial Group, as well as consulates, chambers of commerce and other institutions and organizations.
At the same time, "old friends" such as Lenze, Cummins, GALA, Johnson Controls-Hitachi, Plansee, and AXA Tianping continue to participate this year, transforming from "first-time customers" to "return customers."
The story of exhibitors turning into investors unfolds in the Lin-gang area. Last year, it organized foreign investment and overseas enterprises to participate in the exhibition for the first time in the form of industrial clusters, attracting attention from all parties and achieving outstanding results in cooperation and exchange.
A total of more than 100 trade transactions were matched, forming a trade volume of about 2.6 billion yuan (US$366.3 million).
Exhibitors such as Johnson Controls-Hitachi, Klenzan, and Pine Field have successively landed in the parks under the Lin-gang Group.
Plansee, a high-performance material enterprise in the global powder metallurgy field, has been deeply rooted in Lin-gang for over 10 years. After participating in the 6th China International Import Expo, it expanded its production capacity in Lin-gang this year.
The headquarters of Plansee Group has always attached great importance to the development of its Shanghai subsidiary, and in recent years annual investment has exceeded 50 million yuan.
This year, Lin-gang's exhibition area, covering 2,700 square meters, will showcase the achievements of foreign-funded enterprises in the field of technology and equipment, as well as the opening up achievements of the Lin-gang Special Area in cross-border data, cross-border finance, cross-border healthcare, high-energy service trade, and international innovation cooperation.
The Lin-gang area has five major zones – Lin-gang Theme Exhibition Hall, Caohejing Hi-teck Park Exhibition Zone, Overseas Cooperation Institution Special Zone, Enterprise Exclusive Exhibition Zone, and Interactive Experience Zone. It focuses on showcasing new technologies, materials, and products of foreign-funded enterprises.
To meet the business needs of enterprises, the exhibition area is also equipped with conference rooms, a news center, and a cafe.
During the CIIE, the Lin-gang exhibition area will hold about 20 events such as policy promotion, global new product launch, cooperation signing, and industry dialogue.
It will also carry out themed activities around the urban positioning of the Lin-gang Special Area as "Young People · Youth City," attracting young people from all over the world to work and live there.
